4 moving tips for 2021
Still life shot of an empty room in a house on moving day

Obviously, this past year has been a struggle for so many of us, but I always try to focus on the positive sides of each situation – no matter how awful the situation is. I truly believe that if you really work hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel, there WILL be a glimmer of light, and hopefully, a lot of you are seeing that.

For example, one thing that some of us have benefitted from over the past year is working from home. So many of us (take tax accountants, for example), have had to work harder and longer hours, but since we are doing so from home, this allows us to still spend time with our family. If you fall into that category, consider it a blessing.

Another positive thing that we have received from the pandemic is the fact that we now know that we should not take life for granted. I think that all of us knew this before the pandemic, however, did we really think about it each and every day and truly live life to the fullest? No, not in my opinion. Because so many of us are breaking free from the things that we “had” to do and are now focusing on what brings us joy instead, a lot of us are taking leaps of faith…and one of those leaps of faith is moving.

Moving to a new home, moving into an RV so that you can see the world, moving into the city so your commute is faster, or moving to the country so that you can reap the benefits of clean air, fresh food, and maybe even some animals. No matter where you are moving to, or where you are moving from, you will need some moving tips to make the process a little easier for yourself. Here are some of the best moving tips for 2021:

Consider the pandemic

One moving tip that you cannot skip over is considering the pandemic. What do I mean by this? Well, the pandemic is delaying everything. Passports, closing dates on homes, supplies, and more. Because of this, you should start planning your move well in advance. Create a checklist of everything you need to do…and then try to accomplish each to-do one week before it is actually “due.” This will help you rest easier and reduce stress!

Hire reliable movers

The next tip is to hire reliable movers to make your move a bit more stress-free. Bluebell Relocation Services are a team of movers in Cherry Hill that helps their clients move across the street, or across the country. They say, “we are the moving company you can count on to pack & transport your belongings safely and efficiently!” If you want a stress-free move, especially in the state of the world right now, you should definitely hire movers to take the pressure and heavy lifting off of your plate. Their recipe for success? High-quality service, attention to detail, and experienced teams. They are licensed and insured, they have a flexible schedule, and they provide reasonable moving rates (with a quote upfront!). They are also AMSA certified moving consultants, so you can rest even easier knowing that you will have prompt and dependable + high-quality moving services. Bluebell Moving Services was born when the owner first stepped into a moving truck over fourteen years ago. He says, “After years of lessons, experiences, and hard labor, my solid base knowledge of the industry was strong enough to open a residential moving and storage company. Throughout those years, I worked in every step of the moving industry, from being a helper, foreman, operations manager, and finally to being General Manager of reputable moving companies. Bluebell Moving and Storage Services is a consolidation of all of my life experiences, put together to create an extremely reliable company with integrity, courtesy, and excellent customer service for all of your moving needs!”

Be competitive with your offer

If you are purchasing a home, make sure that your offer is more than competitive. Keep in mind that the market is wild right now. Homes are going for well over asking price and the buyers are paying all closing costs, too. If you REALLY want a specific home, figure out a way to stand out and make sure that your offer is more than competitive.

Reduce, re-use, recycle

My last tip is for you to reduce what you currently have in your home by decluttering the things you do not need. Re-use boxes, if possible, when you are moving, and recycle or sell/donate anything that you can. 2021 is very unique. People are seeing how our health is not only at-risk, but we are also seeing that the environment is at-risk, as well. Start thinking about how you can be more eco-friendly, starting with your move, and into your new home.
